There's a slew of ceiling plays in the mid-$30 salary range for Yahoo! DFS contests this week. From Tom Brady at $38 down through Kirk Cousins at $32, a number of directions make sense. But you obviously can't buy them all (at least not in 1 lineup). So I'm picking out some pass-catchers that will let you buy into those potentially big games without needing the QB. At TE, in particular, you can find some cheap upside, avoid the Week 3 rush to Zach Ertz and save some cap dollars to pay up at RB.

Wondering what to do without Buccaneers MLB Kwon Alexander this week? Well that's where we're kicking off this week's IDP discussion. We'll run through some other pertinent injury situations as well, including the "questionable" defenders that you shouldn't bother waiting on. Beyond that, IDP owners officially got Aaron Donald back Thursday night. We also got HUGE outings from Lions DE Ziggy Ansah and Chiefs DE Chris Jones last week. But does that make them studs or 1-hit wonders? Then we'll finish up with some other backfield and LB notes.
Check our Week 3 IDP rankings to help with any lingering lineup questions.

OK, with that out of the way, let's talk about the other guys in play for Week 3 on DraftKings. The Washington-Oakland matchup provides a QB who just might see higher ownership than we were hoping for -- but also a pair of WRs playable with or without him. We can also find some cheap targets in #1 wideouts from non-centerpiece games. Jared and Matt want different RBs from the same range, while Kevin's sticking with a guy that pretty much everyone liked coming into the season.

After 2 quiet weeks, Washington QB Kirk Cousins and Bengals WR A.J. Green might look like sneaky-attractive DFS plays for Week 3. But will their ownership rates actually allow them to be sneaky? Also, is it possible to get away from playing Zach Ertz in any lineups against the Giants? What about Le'Veon Bell at Chicago? Who are the top options in this week's highest over/under game, Washington-Oakland? And which game might actually feature even more points?

The weekend slate of Week 3 looks likely to begin with an offense-challenged matchup in London. So that's where we'll start the preview podcast. But from there, we'll quickly move on to wondering whether Cam Newton can shake off the rust for 1 of the best matchups he'll face all year. Will Road Ben and the Steelers disappoint in a deceptively tough matchup at Chicago? Has Jacoby Brissett restored hope to the Colts offense? Can Alex Smith build on the success he had against the Chargers last year? Can Andy Dalton rebound on the road? And just how many QBs should you play ahead of Eli Manning this week?

NFL Week 2 hurt, especially if you play TE. Rob Gronkowski, Greg Olsen, Tyler Eifert, Jimmy Graham, Jordan Reed ... none of them emerged unscathed. We'll check in on the latest from each situation and what they mean going forward. We'll also discuss further injury situations in Washington, Tennessee, Chicago, Cleveland and Green Bay -- and dig into how they might change our backfields. RB playing time and workload shares also gave us some interesting twists on Sunday. Plus, we'll look at some of the most interesting target leaders from Week 2.

Our Week 1 selections produced mixed results. The higher-priced QB would have worked out better. Dez Bryant couldn't overcome the Giants matchup. But we did get some points out of our RBs and TEs. This week, we've got a stud-level tight end who's priced like an also-ran, a quartet of running backs that range in price, a popular wideout to consider fading and a battle among expensive passers.

Is it possible to get past Philip Rivers at just $5,800 on DraftKings this week? He's a good start, but we certainly have some other targets at various price levels. And he's far from the only L.A. player you'll hear about on this show. Also, are people about to overlook a key option in the centerpiece Packers-Falcons matchup? And which WR is Kevin buying heaviest in Patriots-Saints? At TE, we don't even need to look past the stars of Week 1 to find some likely to be underused values for both cash and GPP play.

Week 2 means it's time to overreact to everything that we just saw in the 1st round of actual NFL games. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that fantasy players are scared to go right back to last week's disappointing Patriots. But Kevin has a strategy for differentiating even with some popular picks in your FanDuel lineup. Jared has his eyes fixed mainly on a different high-scoring affair, while also trying to repeat his Week 1 SharkDuel victory. Matt, meanwhile, has gotten stuck on a pair of players he didn't like at all a month ago and is trying to forget how his teams performed last Sunday.

QBs had a tough time scoring in NFL Week 1. Team defenses, on the other hand, found points much more easily the usual. So what can we expect from those groups in Week 2? It's time to break down every game (well, beyond the Thursday night Texans-Bengals snoozer) and consider what will change and what just might stay the same this time around. With the Chiefs stay just as explosive? Will the Patriots and Saints both bounce back in the same game? Where might Vegas be wrong (if Vegas is ever wrong)? And which key matchup promises to deliver lots of fantasy options? Come with us through every game and then check the Week 2 rankings before you set your lineups.
